Here's a fun interactive article about the words used to describe female and male characters in books.
I really loved the charts and they seem like they could be a good reference to shake up writing descriptions.
I also got 9/10 on the quiz (and I know exactly why I got the one wrong).

Haha, another one for getting stumped by the little hands. An interesting read overall! It's terrible how shallow we still can be in our literature. Has ever a character been described as pimply for a purpose other than making it clear that they're unpleasantly awkward, maybe unhealthy and unclean to boot?

Curiouser and curioser! I'm going to pay attention the hand-wringing thing closer now.
It was interesting to see how little it differed between male and female authors too. The article definitely made me want to inspect descriptions closer in my own work. Cause yes it's disheartening that certain traits are always used negatively.
