In December I started crocheting a baby blanket for my brother's baby. But every time I worked on it I got sick, as if it were cursed. Happily, I finished it a few days ago without any accompanying sickness lol.

As I was finishing up I was thinking about what I would do different should I make another one. I would do a single crochet around the border just to make it so much easier to do the "sewing" together part, but not the 1-2-1 increase/decrease that was suggested to me and that I ended up frogging (pulling out) after I tried it. And I think I'd let it sit longer while blocking too.

And that was just idle musing because I didn't think I'd make another one—except I am. I showed my friend's mom the blanket and she wants one. So somehow I've gotten a crochet commission lol. Hopefully I don't get sick anymore and break the bear blanket curse.

I didn't take many pictures of the process, but here are 3 that I took below.

This image still has the 1-2-1 border that I eventually removed.

I was going to do a fancier border, but my sister said that it would be too fancy.

The finished blanket. I designed the non-bear panels myself because I didn't want to do a blanket of all bears.

Here's the video I got the bear pattern from: Teddy Bear Filet Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern — Knotting Hook Crochet.
