I told a friend I'd try FFXIV, but I never even bothered to download it lol. She asked me about it again today, so now I actually am downloading it. Since I'm practically on vacation this upcoming week (no hours @ work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I figured I have time to give it a real try and try to get into it.

I've never played an MMORPG in my life. The closest I've ever come to it is Destiny, I guess, which I played for about one day lol. Therefore, it seems daunting and that's one of the reasons I never downloaded it. BUT if I can figure out the mechanics of shit like GBF I can probably figure this out with a little time and experience.
