sunshine_challenge : Prompt 2: Orange

Orange is my favorite color! And it seems to be an odd one, people always look at me funny when they find out it's my favorite lol. Right off the bat it reminds me of my favorite flower the Marigold

Which segues into...MY OC YEAH!! It's been so long, my precious sun child.

I've had this character since 2007 when I planned a story inspired by Code Geass and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It's changed a lot over the years (mechs were the first thing to go lol). I originally planned to draw a comic of this story, since I loved drawing comics in middle school, but over the years I've fallen in and out of drawing so it never happened. I still love my OC a lot though and I plan to adapt the story into a novel just for fun since I took up writing as a hobby in 2018. There's still a lot of work to do there though, since I came up with all this when I was like 15 (goodness) and haven't really worked on the plot since lol.
Where Orange comes into this is that his last name is Marigold and his hair is orange. And that's always been a big deal in this story (I know the flower theme I have going on is so cheesy, but I will die on this hill.)

Also I love characters with orange hair in general! I married My Unit to Gaius in Fire Emblem Awakening and I was sooooo in love with orange-haired Morgan. Another cute orange-haired son to keep a pic of in my wallet ♥
To finish this off with some more orange hair here's a fanart I did of Gaius a few years back. & also since I saw it on my blog, some art of my female Lavellan Inquisitor from Dragon Age Inquisition also old cuz I don't really draw anymore :^P

Marigolds are awesome; I included them in my post as well because they are simply fantastic. I think having an OC reflecting them is pretty neat myself! The drawing looks great!
