While working on my website for Neocities I came across this cool little blogging system for Neocities called Zonelets. Here's the description from the creator:
Zonelets is a simple, free blogging engine for everyone! Plenty of services can help you to “create a professional-looking website without writing a single line of code.” Now, thanks to Zonelets, you can create an UNPROFESSIONAL-looking website by writing NUMEROUS lines of code! ...Hey, wait, come back! Let me explain!
😂
It's a package of files you'd load into your Neocities (or otherwise) site and voilà! A blog!
The creator has made it pretty simple to set up and get started. There's text instructions and youtube videos too which is a plus. There's also a few prepackaged themes that can be slapped onto the blog. I really like how the creator has made things so simple and provides excellent instructions so that anyone can have fun with this.
Take a look at it for yourself right OVER HERE 👉 Zonelets site. 👈
That site runs on Zonelets itself as well.
Neocities seems daunting because you have to build your own site, I legitimately did not know how a website worked before I tried it out lol (magic I supposed). So I'm glad someone out there made something like this. I've mentioned before that I wasn't really online when personal sites and fansites were a big thing (I'm an anomaly and I only really got online in my 2nd year of college!). Browsing Neocities has been really cool and I'd love to see more sites and content on there. So if anyone is interested, but wary, I think you should check out Zonelets!

And thank you! Learning what goes into a website has been fun. I did develop a grudge against responsive design for mobile devices tho xD
