Three Houses VI [MAJOR Spoilers][Golden Deers]

Cindered Shadows came out while I was in the middle of my GD playthrough and I didn't end up finishing either of those until this week.

I originally planned to recruit as many characters as I could on this run because I didn't really like any of the Golden Deers. I did end up recruiting all the Blue Lions except for Ashe. From the Black Eagles I got Dorothea, Ferdinand, and Bernadetta. (I didn't get Ashe because I already had Bernie as my archer :^p). I was so worried the whole time about who I was going to make into my dancer and I ended up locking myself out of the class lmao. I missed the dance recital somehow.

I didn't fall in love with the Golden Deer crew like I did with the other Houses. I ignored most of them in favor of my cross-house recruits. Partly because I didn't care for the characters and partly because the ones I did like I had recruited and used before. I used Leonie and Marianne before and I ignored Ignatz and Raphael.
Raph got RNG screwed early so I dropped him because I don't really care for grappling and Hilda took up the axe spot. I didn't use Ignatz because I don't like him. Leonie got sidelined hard because she's meh, but I love Marianne so I deployed her regularly. I ended up classing her into Mortal Savant and beefed her up with some stat boosters and she was KILLER. I loved it.
I ended up really liking Lorenz's character. When I play a route I usually don't talk to anyone not in my class so I only had a few interactions with him and was afraid he was going to be so annoying in GD, but he was so funny and his VA did a fantastic job. His choir dialogue line is amazing. I liked Claude well enough, but he's very idealistic isn't he. As for Hilda she was pretty funny too in her supports with the boys.

You wanna know how hard it was for me to see the ClaudexHilda end card? I had to kill several people.
It's not that I preferred them together (or else I would have actually got them the support points the needed for it), but I did want to see it during my quest getting all the S-Support endings for Byleth.
I got some really interesting end cards otherwise. Hilda & Ferdinand. Claude & Ingrid. When I killed only Ferdinand and Ingrid I got Hilda & Marianne and Claude & Lorenz. It made me laugh that I had to get rid of both Lorenz and Marianne to see anything else. Claude/Lysithea was sooo *clenches fist*.

On that note, the end map for Verdant Wind was the easiest by far. It wasn't even a pain to do it like 6 times to get all the S-Supports I needed. Like all the other routes the maps were nothing too great. The paralogues have all been by far more interesting than the main maps.

Doing Verdant Wind as the last of the main lord routes was the best decision. In order of things you learn about the story it goes Blue Lions > Black Eagles > Golden Deers. Blue Lions was so disappointing in the end because you kill Edelgard while also learning that she wasn't even the big bad. Black Eagles takes care of it in the epilogue, but Golden Deers solves it in the main campaign. I still don't understand anything though lmao. W-Where did Crests come from...? Why didn't Rhea keep all the Crest Weapons...there's no doubt she could have wrested them from the noble houses.... The whole TWSITD faction came from a...a race war? WHY WAS THERE DUBSTEP. That Shambala map was hilarious. The industrialization of weapons, missiles and robots and lasers, the blue Tron-esque walls and floors, the wubwubwub. I hated it xD

Verdant Wind had theeeee best animated sequences. Killing Edelgard, ugh my heart. I gasped. I love Edelgard.
Byleth and Claude fighting Nemesis was so cool too. Ah, so good.
Wish they would have showed Dimitri dying too hmm hmm.
I also still wish they would have made Claude and Dimitri bi too, but whatever IS! WHATEVER.

Now I just have to do Silver Snow then I'm gonna go back around to the beginning with the opposite form. After that I miiiight try Maddening mode. I want to do it without NG+ of course and on Azure Moon route, BUT I want my next Blue Lions PT to be super easy NG+ too. I don't know which to do lol.
