Bioware's Youtube channel has put out a new video:

I for one am excited (but of course I am). The concept art shown in this video is so lovely (the concept art for the series has always been lovely). It looks likes there is going to be a lot more exploration of Dwarven society based on the art and in-game renders they're showing here.

Everything they're saying about the game makes me think, "Dragon Age 2 redux" from having "no power", and that it's going to "focus on the people around you and the friends and family you've made." BUT I shouldn't get my hopes up. I shouldn't.

"We want characters to be either loved or hated" ah, I can already imagine the discourse *sob*. Not that I don't personally love characters that make you go hmm, but I already feel like there are characters the fandom can't have civil conversations about. *sigh*

It looks like some of the characters from Tevinter Nights may have made their way into the game (put a pin in this because I haven't finished reading that lmao. For some reason it's so hard for me to get through Dragon Age books urgh). I'm thinking maybe the Warden and the archer from the cover at least.

Lastly, I'm very excited to see Feketekuty on the writing team and what looks like a skeleton/Mortalitasi companion. I love skeletons. I want a skeleton boyfriend, please and thank you Bioware.

It's pretty hard to avoid discourse in fandom. XD Some characters are all but impossible to have a conversation about, so I figure it's easiest to just read posts and maybe not interact too much. Alas.

But more info on dwarven society would be awesome! And I feel like I saw Dorian in some of the pictures. A Mortalitasi companion would be awesome. Definitely looking forward to learning more about the game. ^^

Knowing how much tends to change from concept stage to actual end result I can't bring myself to pay much attention to these sorts of early glimpses BUT you do have my ears pricked at the idea of something more like DAII in focus / structure.
